It was a spectacular outing at the recently held end of year gala night of the Igbo Ambassadors, UK.

Definitely a night of glitz and one to surely remember; as the young club whose membership has grown exponentially through the years, decided to celebrate what has been an outstanding year.

The event was of two parts; the first was a brief conference, which centered on the topic entitled: The role of Igbos in the diaspora in the economic revival of Igbo land. This important lecture was taken by Ambassador Joseph Ayalogu, the former Permanent Representative of Nigeria, to the United Nations in Geneva and Ambassador to Switzerland.


Also, the former Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation- NIDO, Dr. Chibuzo Ubochi also spoke on the need for Igbos to work together in order to grow their economy.

Guests at the gala were treated to the best of both African and continental dishes. The drinks were endless as it  kept flowing to the delight of all.

The choice of entertainment was commendable; as life bands, comedians, the Disc Jockey and several other performers made the night an unforgettable one for the over 500 guests in attendance, who came, looking their very best. 


In celebration of excellence, some members of the organisation and committees were honoured by the President, Mazi Ugochukwu Morah, and the executives.  


Furthermore, the Igbo Ambassadors, UK annual gala welcomed community leaders, elected officials in the community,and stakeholders. Amongst whom were Mazi Obi Okoli-OjeluIgbozi, President Congress of Igbo Leaders , Godwin Ogbonnaya-Ohamadike Ozuakoli,HOD Culture and Tradition Department, Councillor Caroline of Lewisham Borough, Lady Nikky E. Fr NIDO Chair Susan Waya, NIDO Vice Chair Jane Ezolu, and others were all on the ground to honour the Igbo Ambassadors members.
