A moral police on X has called out Herbert Wigwe's oldest daughter for not standing to greet the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima.
The X user shared a photo of Tochi Wigwe sitting while accepting a handshake from Shettima during one of the events organised to mourn Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba Wigwe, and their son Chizzy Wigwe who died in a helicopter crash. He then shared photos of former VP Yemi Osinbajo and businessman Aliko Dangote standing to shake hands with Shettima.
He wrote: “Same Man, different regard. Whoever that girl is,she lacks proper home training. You don't shake a person old enough to be your father while seating down.”
A couple of other X users from the North also berated the grieving daughter.
However, many defended her.

Nice, but in Islam, men don't shake women. Why is he offering a hand shake?
ReplyDeleteSecondly, she's in great pain of losing 3 members of her family(father, mother, and brother). How can a sane person judge her thought process in such a grieving moment?
Auntie Rose,
ReplyDeleteShe is US cultured O.
Absolute nonsense. Leave the poor girl alone. You certainly don't feel her grief....
ReplyDeleteWhat's the heck about standing up and not standing up for the VP for someone in mourning of her three loved ones at the same time? So she should have kneed down or prostrate for the VP for the X commenter to know she has home training? Nigerians always know how to make a mountain from a molehill
ReplyDeletePlease this nonsense should stop!! That girl is mourning. Our respect sometimes needs to respect its own self.
ReplyDeleteGood for shettima!!
ReplyDeleteThe girl knows what she's doing beside she's not happy too.
