Singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has expressed his support for his older brother, Jude Okoye, following his arraignment by the EFCC on February 26. Jude, alongside his company Northside Music Ltd, faces a seven-count charge for allegedly laundering N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.
Reacting to the situation, Paul encouraged Jude with the words, "This too shall pass. Stay strong brother," implying that this legal challenge was orchestrated by someone with ulterior motives, although he did not specify who he meant.
The tension within the family has been evident, as Peter Okoye, Jude's twin brother, revealed last year that he filed a petition with the EFCC after uncovering Jude's alleged establishment of a "secret company" to divert funds from their joint business. Jude has refuted these claims, asserting that his company is not secretive. He emphasized that while the brothers share a joint company, they each maintain their own private businesses, with Peter owning P-Classic and Paul managing Rude Boy Record.
