The rapper took to X to express his grievances, making inflammatory remarks that have drawn significant backlash. In one tweet, he made an unfounded claim about Beyoncé's rarely seen children, stating, "Wait, has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyoncé's younger kids? They're ret*rted. No, like literally." This remark was followed by a series of inappropriate comments about artificial insemination and individuals with mental disabilities.
West stated, "This is why artificial insemination is such a blessing. Having ret*rted children is a choice," a statement reminiscent of his controversial remarks about slavery being a "choice" back in 2018.
Despite the uproar his initial tweet provoked, West deleted it hours later, only to post a follow-up that escalated the situation further. He expressed his anger towards the couple, accusing them of abandoning him and "selling out." In all caps, he wrote, "NOW JAY-Z AND BEYONCÉ ON THE OTHER END. F*CK, THOSE K*ON A*S N**GAS AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILIES."
West later explained that he removed the original tweet not out of remorse, but out of fear that his account might be suspended. In a callous twist, he said, "Took it down like down syndrome. Get it."
This isn't the first time Kanye has targeted the celebrity couple. Once considering Jay-Z a "big brother," the rapper has publicly criticized him for years over perceived betrayals. In a 2022 interview, he even suggested Beyoncé should let Jay-Z explore romantic interests outside their marriage, saying, "I just think Beyoncé needs to let him go get some p**sy, serious."
Back in 2016, Kanye expressed fear for his safety, claiming that Jay-Z would send "shooters" his way, urging him to communicate instead. "Please don’t send them at my head," he pleaded. “Please call me. Talk to me like a man.”
Through these incidents, it’s clear that West's tumultuous relationship with Jay-Z and Beyoncé continues to be a source of public intrigue and concern.
