Nigerian comedian Deeone has stirred controversy online with his bold claim that Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz is wealthier than Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy combined.


In a video shared on his Instagram page, Deeone pointed to Diamond’s extravagant display of wealth during the wedding celebration of Priscilla Ojo (daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo) and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux. Footage from the event captured Diamond spraying $100 bills at the afterparty a spectacle that quickly sparked conversation across social media.


According to Deeone, the Tanzanian star reportedly spent over $350,000 during his visit to Nigeria, citing lavish giveaways, club outings, and other expenses as proof.


“Diamond Platnumz is richer than Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy combined. I didn’t believe it until I saw it. This isn’t noise we’re seeing the money. He came for Priscilla and Jux’s wedding and has spent more than $350K,” Deeone said in part.


He went on to criticize Nigerian artists for being "stingy" and not living up to their financial promises, contrasting them with Diamond’s apparent generosity.


However, Deeone’s claims have sparked skepticism, with many Nigerians questioning the accuracy of his comparison and pointing out that Forbes and other reports still rank Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy with significantly higher net worths than Diamond.
