Former UFC heavyweight champion and professional boxer Francis Ngannou has reportedly been involved in a tragic motorcycle accident in Cameroon that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl.

The incident occurred earlier this month in the Omnisports district of Yaoundé. According to reports from Camer.be, Lebledparle, and ActuCameroun, Ngannou, 38, was riding a motorcycle when he collided with the teenager, identified by local media as Ntsama Brigitte Manuella.

Following the accident, Ngannou is said to have personally transported the injured girl to Yaoundé General Hospital and covered her medical expenses. She sustained serious injuries to her arm and leg and was immediately taken into surgery. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she sadly did not survive.

A medical source cited by 237online confirmed that the victim had suffered extensive trauma to her limbs that required emergency surgical intervention. Tragically, she passed away during the procedure.

Sources close to the situation report that Ngannou is devastated by the incident. As of the time of this report, no official statement has been released by Ngannou or his representatives.
