A statue of the Virgin Mary was reportedly seen shedding tears just two days before the Pope’s passing, sparking widespread speculation and awe among the faithful.

The footage, filmed during a Good Friday service on April 18 at St. John Eudes Parish in Aguas Claras, Norte de Santander, Colombia, appears to show the statue with tear-like streaks running down its face. The emotional scene unfolded during the “Sermon of the Seven Words,” a reflection on the final sayings of Jesus Christ during His crucifixion.

The video quickly went viral on social media, with many describing the phenomenon as miraculous. "It’s a miracle, how beautiful," one viewer commented. Another wrote simply, "She’s really crying."

Speculation over the meaning of the tears has ignited debate. "It’s a sign that God doesn’t like human evil, and that’s why our mother cries in silence," a third commenter suggested.

As of now, the Diocese of Ocaña, the nearest ecclesiastical authority, has not issued any official statement regarding the alleged occurrence.
