Fresh off making history with a hat trick in the UEFA Europa League final and being named the 2024 CAF African Footballer of the Year, Nigerian international Ademola Lookman paid courtesy visits to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Governor Sanwo-Olu hosted the Atalanta star at the Lagos House, Marina, where he celebrated Lookman’s achievements and praised his discipline, humility, and impact on Nigerian youth.

“His journey is a powerful reminder of how far passion, discipline, and hard work can take you. He is focused, grounded, and fully aware of the responsibility he carries as a role model,” the governor wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“Thank you, Ademola, for flying the Nigerian flag high and showing the world what we’re made of.”

Lookman also met with President Tinubu, where he presented his CAF Player of the Year plaque. Photos from the meeting captured a warm exchange between the football star, the President, and the Governor—marking a proud moment for Nigerian sports.

The visits come as national and international accolades continue to pour in for Lookman following his stellar performances in European football and on the continental stage.
