The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially confirmed the arrest of controversial social media activist, VeryDarkMan, citing multiple petitions filed against him.
According to a statement released by the anti-graft agency, the online personality was taken into custody following a series of formal complaints lodged by various individuals. While the EFCC did not disclose the exact nature of the allegations, sources suggest the petitions involve alleged cyberbullying, defamation, and possible breaches of the Cybercrime Act.
“He was arrested based on multiple petitions written against him. Investigations are ongoing, and he will be charged to court as soon as possible,” the EFCC stated.
VeryDarkMan, known for his outspoken commentary on social issues and public figures, has often found himself at the center of online controversies. His arrest has sparked widespread reactions across social media, with supporters calling for his release while critics urge due process.
Further updates are expected as the case develops and court proceedings commence.
