Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has commended President Bola Tinubu for what he described as significant strides in improving security and revitalizing agriculture across Nigeria’s north-west region.
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West Stakeholders’ Meeting held in Kaduna, Governor Sani noted that a region once ravaged by insecurity has witnessed marked progress under President Tinubu’s administration.
“Before President Tinubu assumed office in 2023, the North-West was the epicentre of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and other violent crimes,” Sani said. “Travel was risky, farmers could not access their lands, and life was, in many ways, ‘nasty, short, and brutish.’ At one point, the situation seemed hopeless. But within two years, things have significantly improved.”
Sani, who serves as the APC’s coordinating governor for the North-West, attributed this transformation to the President’s targeted rural development initiatives and strategic security interventions.
“President Tinubu has not only stabilised the security situation, but has also revitalized the region’s agricultural sector through the provision of essential farm inputs,” he added.
The remarks come amid ongoing efforts by the federal government to sustain peace and promote economic recovery in the region.
