Disturbing new images released Monday have revealed the extent of injuries sustained by singer Cassie Ventura during her relationship with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. The photos, introduced as evidence in Combs’ ongoing federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, depict Ventura with visible bruises, swollen features, and other signs of physical trauma.

More than a dozen photographs shown to jurors last week document multiple injuries, including black eyes, swollen lips, and extensive bruising allegedly inflicted by Combs over the course of their tumultuous decade-long relationship, which ended in 2018.

Additional images, made public after being submitted in court, illustrate how Ventura attempted to conceal the bruises using large sunglasses, makeup, and strategic hairstyling.

Among the most striking visuals are a series of selfies Ventura took in an Uber on March 5, 2016, after leaving the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. In them, she wears oversized black sunglasses to cover a black eye and a swollen lip. That incident widely known due to previously leaked surveillance footage has become a central focus in the trial.

“That’s me,” Ventura, now 41 and pregnant with her third child, testified in court last Wednesday. “Just a selfie of my fat lip wearing sunglasses … because I had a black eye underneath. Just trying to cover it.”

Photographs taken just days after the alleged assault show Ventura attending a movie premiere and after-party with Combs. In one image, she’s seen during a gown fitting at Combs’ residence, wearing large sunglasses that obscure a black eye. Another photo from the premiere shows her seated next to Combs in a cocktail dress, with a faint bruise visible on her leg.

Ventura’s testimony, which spanned four harrowing days, detailed years of alleged abuse at the hands of Combs including violent outbursts and coercive encounters she described as “freak-offs,” in which she was allegedly forced to engage in sexual acts with male escorts while Combs watched and recorded.

Further evidence released by federal authorities includes photos taken during a raid of Combs’ suite at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan on September 16, 2024. Items discovered included bottles of baby oil, personal lubricants, approximately $9,000 in cash, and bags containing pink narcotics. Department of Homeland Security Special Agent Yasin Binda testified regarding these findings on Friday.

Additional images shown in court on Monday were taken by Ventura’s mother in December 2011, documenting bruises on her lower back and thigh. Ventura claims these injuries were sustained when Combs assaulted her upon learning she had been in contact with rapper Kid Cudi.

Other photos include a bloody gash above her eyebrow, reportedly caused in 2013 when Combs threw her onto a bed, causing her head to strike the bedframe. Ventura said the incident was triggered by Combs’ anger over her not packing in time for a trip to Toronto’s OVO Fest.

In another instance from a 2013 vacation in Jamaica, Ventura is pictured again wearing sunglasses to conceal facial injuries from another alleged attack.

A chilling final image shows a kitchen knife jammed into a door handle at Ventura’s home. She testified that this was her attempt to “lock the door and have a weapon,” citing frequent unannounced visits from Combs during the final stages of their relationship in 2018.

Combs, now 55, has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include allegations of sex trafficking, assault, and racketeering. If convicted, he faces a potential life sentence.

The case continues to draw national attention as more evidence is expected to be presented in the coming weeks.
