Jurors in the ongoing trial of music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs were reportedly stunned after being shown private images from alleged sex parties known as "Freak Offs" that involved R&B singer and Combs’ former partner, Cassie Ventura.
The images were presented during proceedings at the Manhattan Federal Court but kept from public view. Only the jury, legal teams, and the court were permitted to see them. Observers noted a tense silence in the courtroom, with one male juror raising his eyebrows and a female juror appearing visibly shaken.
Ventura, 38, testified in a steady but subdued tone, identifying herself in five photos that allegedly depicted her with three male escorts during one of the so-called events. In one image, she was seen with an individual referred to as Greg. Ventura described being dressed in “very high shoes” and having baby oil applied to her skin during the incident.
The visuals were introduced on the third day of the trial, where Combs, 55 a three-time Grammy Award winner and former powerhouse in the hip-hop industry faces multiple serious allegations, including sexual abuse and coercion.
Ventura, now on her second day of testimony, described the toll these alleged events took on her physical and mental health. She testified that her participation in these multi-day sex gatherings left her with frequent and painful urinary tract infections, sores, and general exhaustion.
“This was hell on my body,” she said. “I’d have to take part even when I had infections. I couldn’t get rid of it. I was doing the 'Freak Off' with an infection.”
She also revealed that she sustained other injuries during her tumultuous decade-long relationship with Combs, which began when she was 19 and he was 36.
One such incident occurred in March 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, where Ventura said Combs physically assaulted her an event reportedly captured on surveillance footage. She testified that following the altercation, Combs sent her a barrage of messages, pleading with her to respond: “Call me,” “Help,” and “If you don’t pick up, you’ll never hear my voice again.”
Despite the violence, there was no record of Combs being arrested after the incident, and hotel security did not contact authorities, she said.
In another disturbing account, Ventura recalled an alleged assault before a planned trip to Canada’s OVO Festival in 2013. She claimed Combs struck her while she was sleeping, causing a gash above her left eye that required plastic surgery. After receiving medical care, she sent him a photo of her face with the message: “So you can remember.”
Jurors were also shown a binder containing photos of 13 men Ventura claims she was forced to participate in these alleged parties with addition to six previously identified. She stated that these events were often scheduled back-to-back and accompanied by drug use that worsened her physical condition.
Ventura alleged Combs used videos of the events to control her, threatening to release them publicly. On one occasion, she said he even played some of the footage on a flight with other passengers nearby. "I felt trapped," she said. “I was scared he would actually release them and I’d have to answer to my mother.”
Further testimony included a claim that Combs once attempted to destroy a vehicle belonging to rapper Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) after discovering Ventura had dated him. “He told me he was going to hurt Scott and me,” she said, explaining that she ended the relationship with Cudi out of fear.
“There was just too much danger. Too much uncertainty,” Ventura told the court.
Earlier in the hearing, Ventura’s accounts prompted a sermon-like message from the presiding judge, urging the courtroom to remain focused and respectful throughout the proceedings.
As the trial continues, Combs faces increasing scrutiny not only from the legal system but also from the public and music industry over the grave allegations that have surfaced.
