According to reports, the tragic incident occurred following a domestic dispute at their residence on Oza Street in the Ogbelaka area along Sakponba Road. Esosa allegedly inflicted severe injuries on his wife, a mother of three, during the altercation.
Chinwendu was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel diagnosed her with internal bleeding believed to have been caused by the assault. Despite efforts to save her, she was confirmed dead shortly after.
Speaking to the press, the deceased’s father, Everistus Nnadozie, stated that he was informed of the incident after his daughter had already been hospitalized.
“I was told that my son-in-law, Esosa, beat my daughter and took her to the hospital. The doctors said she had internal bleeding,” he said.
He further revealed that by the time he arrived at the hospital, his daughter had passed away, and her body had already been taken by the husband to an undisclosed mortuary.
“I went to his house, but I was told he had fled. I’ve been trying to reach him to know where my daughter’s body is, but he has not responded,” Mr. Nnadozie added.
As of the time of this report, the whereabouts of Esosa Imasuen remain unknown, and efforts to reach him have been unsuccessful. Authorities are expected to launch an investigation into the matter.
