Global music icon Rihanna is expecting her third child with husband and rapper A$AP Rocky, expanding their growing family of four.

The 37-year-old star was spotted on Monday, May 5, 2025, leaving her New York City hotel en route to the Met Gala baby bump proudly on display. Her radiant appearance quickly sent social media into a frenzy, confirming long-standing pregnancy rumors.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who began dating in 2020, are already proud parents to two sons: RZA, 2, and Riot, 1. This year’s Met Gala holds special meaning for the couple, as Rocky also served as one of the event’s co-chairs.

The pair first revealed they were expecting back in January 2022 with a now-iconic photo shoot in Harlem Rihanna in a pink coat with her bump peeking through, and Rocky by her side. Their first child, RZA Athelston Mayers, was born in May 2022. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna opened up about how motherhood has transformed her life, influencing every decision she makes. “You almost feel like something is always suffering for you to show up somewhere,” she shared. “I try to figure out a balance so I can feel fulfilled when I show up, so I don’t have any guilt.”

The singer also reflected on the unique personalities of her sons. “RZA is such an empath. He loves music, melody, books, and water. Bath time, the beach you name it,” she said. Meanwhile, baby Riot is “hilarious,” known for waking up squealing joyfully. “He’s not taking no for an answer. He’s my alarm in the morning!”

Rihanna couldn’t help but gush over Rocky’s role as a father. “The greatest thing about Rocky is seeing him be a dad,” she said with a smile. “Sometimes my sons live for him more than they live for me and I’m like, ‘Do you know who pushed you out?’ But when I see it, it’s the best.”
