The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has summoned Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, to appear at its national headquarters in Abuja.

According to a letter dated May 28, 2025, the agency directed the singer to report by 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, to answer questions related to a disturbing video clip that recently circulated online.

In the now-viral Instagram Live video, Speed Darlington allegedly made claims suggesting he had carnal knowledge of a 15-year-old girl in a hotel. NAPTIP noted that if the allegations are confirmed, they would constitute a violation of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.

The agency has urged the singer to comply with the invitation promptly to avoid further legal action.
