Media personality Chioma Amaryllis Ahaghotu has called on Nollywood actresses to tone down their use of facial fillers, expressing concern about how it may be affecting their on-screen performance.
In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, Ahaghotu noted that excessive use of cosmetic fillers has left some actresses unable to make natural facial expressions, which is critical for effective acting.
“Nollywood actresses need to chill out with these fillers chins too sharp, lips overly swollen. Now you can’t even move your face to act because the fillers have migrated,” she wrote.
Her comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that cosmetic enhancements are becoming excessive in the industry, while others believe actresses should have the freedom to modify their appearance as they choose.
