Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has strongly denied allegations circulating online that he consulted a native doctor in relation to his reelection ambitions.
In an official statement released on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the state government described the claims as “entirely false” and “maliciously fabricated.” The statement clarified that the video in question, which shows Governor Soludo alongside a man dressed as a native doctor, was taken during a creative engagement session with local content creators.
“During the session, one of the content creators performed a skit to showcase their creativity,” he said.“It is disappointing that critics have deliberately misrepresented this light-hearted moment to mislead the public.”
He emphasized Governor Soludo’s strong support for the creative industry in Anambra State, citing initiatives like the newly commissioned Solution Fun City as proof of the administration’s investment in youth empowerment and entertainment.
“Governor Soludo’s commitment to Anambra’s development remains unwavering. His focus is on delivering the Solution Agenda, not distractions based on misinformation,” Aburime added.
The government urged the public to verify the authenticity of online content before sharing, especially as the political climate heats up ahead of the 2025 elections.
