President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on his 60th birthday, applauding his unwavering commitment to the development and transformation of Lagos State.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Sanwo-Olu as a devoted public servant who has remained steadfast in advancing the vision for a greater Lagos.
“Your execution of this vision is exemplified by landmark achievements, including the completion of the Blue and Red Rail lines, and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which will serve the vital Lekki corridor,” Tinubu said.
The President also urged the governor to maintain this momentum by prioritizing key infrastructure projects that directly impact the lives of Lagosians — particularly the long-anticipated Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to Victoria Garden City (VGC) Road.
President Tinubu extended his best wishes for Governor Sanwo-Olu’s continued good health and many more years of dedicated service to both Lagos State and the nation.
The statement also highlighted Sanwo-Olu’s longstanding political journey under Tinubu’s mentorship, having served in several strategic roles, including Commissioner in multiple ministries and as Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation.
