Media personality Daddy Freeze has reacted to a viral video that allegedly shows FCT Minister Nyesom Wike praying loudly in panic after the plane he was on experienced engine trouble mid-air.

In the footage, a voice believed to be Wike’s can be heard urgently calling on heavenly intervention as the aircraft encountered technical issues. While the voice conveyed panic, the pilots remained composed and successfully landed the plane without incident.

The video has stirred widespread reactions on Nigerian social media, with many commenting on the contrasting behaviors of the passengers and flight crew.

Daddy Freeze weighed in on the incident, criticizing the perceived over-reliance on religion in moments that require calm and professional handling. He remarked that international aviation forums are mocking Nigerians for being excessively religious in situations like this.

He questioned, “What does Jesus have to do with aviation?” and emphasized that the pilots’ calm response — not the prayers — ensured a safe landing.

He further clarified that an engine malfunction, while serious, is not necessarily a death sentence, as modern aircraft are built to handle such situations.

In his caption, Freeze wrote:
"Religion makes you very dense sha. If you see the comments on international aviation blogs and how they laughed at us, eh."
