Presidential aide, Daniel Bwala, has criticised Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi for accusing President Bola Tinubu of lacking empathy over his failure to visit the Yelwata community in Benue State, where over 100 people were killed by suspected herdsmen in June.
In a recent interview with Channels Television, Obi stressed that empathy is essential for effective leadership. He noted that since assuming office, President Tinubu has not demonstrated genuine concern for the plight of Nigerians. Obi referenced the tragic killings in Yelwata, lamenting the President’s absence from the community following the massacre.
Responding during an appearance on Channels TV on Monday night, July 7, Bwala argued that popular social critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), who visited the community and shared graphic footage from the scene, exhibited more empathy than Obi himself, who was busy criticising the President instead of visiting the victims.
