Felix Ukpo has passed away. He was the father of Boniface Ukpo who got tied up in that big organ trafficking case involving Ike Ekweremadu from Nigeria and the UK courts. Boniface himself confirmed it Monday in Abakaliki said his dad went Sunday afternoon around noon local time.


Back in March 2023 they had that trial at London's Old Bailey Court remember Ekweremadu used to be deputy senate president got convicted along with his wife Beatrice and some doctor named Obinna Obeta. The whole thing was about bringing over a 21-year-old guy David Nwamini from Nigeria wanted his kidney for Ekweremadu's daughter who was sick.


Boniface mentioned his father's health went downhill after the case blew up in 2022 stress and heartbreak mainly. Family hasn't talked to David since everything happened apparently no contact since then.


Ekweremadu's doing nearly ten years locked up his wife got four and a half years but she's already back in Nigeria since January 2025 before finishing her sentence nobody really knows how that worked out. The doctor Obeta got hit with a full decade behind bars. As for David no one seems sure where he ended up these days just gone off the radar completely.
