Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has stirred fresh debate over the circumstances surrounding the late singer Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, aka Mohbad.
This comes shortly after Naira Marley released a video denying involvement in Mohbad’s struggles, while also claiming that part of the singer’s royalties was paid into his mother-in-law’s bank account, with some funds sent to his mother.
Reacting, VeryDarkMan alleged that Mohbad had been “locked” and that those behind it had “thrown away the keys.” Though he gave no further details, many online interpreted his statement as hinting at foul play.
His remarks sparked divided opinions. While some fans agreed with him and questioned why Mohbad’s money was routed through his mother-in-law, others suggested his widow, Wunmi, might have more to reveal. Critics, however, accused VeryDarkMan of shifting the narrative and unfairly dragging Wunmi into the controversy.
This is not the first time the TikToker has mentioned her. Weeks earlier, he alleged Wunmi could have been pregnant for another man, citing claims from a private WhatsApp group reportedly created by actress Iyabo Ojo.
Meanwhile, in a leaked audio conversation with Naira Marley’s manager, Gabby, Mohbad acknowledged money sent to his mother’s account but avoided questions about payments into his mother-in-law’s account.
