London cops grabbed over 70 fancy cars worth around 7 million pounds last weekend. The big operation focused on drivers causing problems without proper insurance apparently. Teams from the Met Police worked with insurance folks to snatch 72 luxury rides in posh areas like Hyde Park and Chelsea. We’re talking purple Lambos Ferraris Porsches the whole show  


One Lamborghini story stands out. Some guy apparently just landed in the UK two hours earlier. Got behind the wheel for 15 minutes before losing his car to cops. Talk about bad timing  

They used tech stuff like license plate scanners and movement predictions to track targets down. About 75 officers were involved total. Top cop James Deller mentioned locals kept complaining about rich kids driving like maniacs in those neighborhoods ruining everyone’s day  

Insurance boss Martin Saunders had this to say some drivers knew they were breaking rules others messed up payments or paperwork without meaning to. Either way no valid policy means goodbye car  

Authorities say this is just part of cleaning up London’s streets from reckless driving antics. More crackdowns coming probably especially in areas where expensive cars keep causing headaches
