Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, charmed guests with a warm and witty speech at the wedding of singer and tech entrepreneur Mr Eazi (Tosin Ajibade) and billionaire heiress Temi Otedola in Iceland.

Serving as Chairman of the occasion, Dangote called the Nordic nation “a very special place,” confessing it was his first visit. With a dose of humor, he admitted he had mostly been asleep since arriving but had canceled several engagements to be there, stressing that Temi was “a very, very special person to the family.”

Praise for the Groom: “Calm, Humble, and Rare”
Turning to Mr Eazi, Dangote applauded his humility and entrepreneurial drive, expressing surprise at the breadth of his business empire spanning 18 African countries. He described the groom as “calm, humble, and a rare blend of musician and businessman,” adding that Temi was “indeed lucky to have such a husband.”

On the bride, Dangote highlighted her independence and ambition, recalling her determination to chart her own path rather than rely solely on her father’s wealth. He praised Temi as “entrepreneurial, tough, and determined,” qualities he said would make her a formidable partner in marriage.

Offering marital advice, Dangote urged the couple to settle disagreements privately, resist external interference, and grow stronger through challenges. To lighten the mood, he jokingly pledged to host “a very big party” to celebrate the birth of their first child within a year, suggesting London, Miami, or even Iceland as possible venues.

“The Greatest Wedding of the Year”
In closing, Dangote saluted Femi Otedola, Temi’s father, for orchestrating such an extraordinary celebration. He described the event as “the greatest wedding of the year” and “a truly historic celebration.”
