China has dismissed claims by US President Donald Trump that it colluded with Russia and North Korea during World War II commemorations in Beijing.

Trump made the allegation in a Truth Social post after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin joined Chinese President Xi Jinping at a grand military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat and the end of World War II.

“Give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America,” Trump wrote.

In response, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said the event was a commemoration, not a political alliance. “Foreign guests were invited to remember history, honor the martyrs, cherish peace, and look to the future,” he told reporters.

Guo stressed that China’s diplomacy “is never directed against any third party.”

The Kremlin also brushed aside Trump’s remarks, with senior aide Yuri Ushakov telling Russian state TV: “I think, not without irony, he suggested that these three are allegedly plotting against the United States.”
