The FBI has announced a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of the gunman who killed right-wing activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Kirk, 31, was shot dead during an event on campus. Hours later, the FBI released photos of a person of interest, describing the individual as someone who could “blend in well with a college institution.”
The images show a person wearing a hat, sunglasses, and an American flag T-shirt with an eagle emblem.
“The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk,” the bureau said in a statement on X.
Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason confirmed investigators have obtained “good video footage” of the suspect. “If we’re unsuccessful in identifying them immediately, we will reach out for the public’s help and the media’s help in pushing those photos,” he told reporters.
