Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly survived a terrifying incident inside MDC Brooklyn, where he is currently serving a federal prison sentence.

According to his longtime friend Charlucci Finney, the music mogul woke up one night to find an inmate holding a knife to his throat — an attack that could have ended in tragedy.

Finney revealed to the Daily Mail that it remains unclear whether prison guards intervened or if Diddy managed to fend off the attacker himself. However, he confirmed that the situation was “a very close call.”

Sources familiar with the matter also confirmed the account to TMZ, describing it as a targeted intimidation attempt against Diddy. Finney added that such attacks are not uncommon for high-profile inmates, especially those linked to sex-related convictions.

During Diddy’s sentencing, his lawyer Brian Steel also referenced the incident in court, explaining that a guard stopped the inmate before any serious harm could occur.

Diddy, 55, is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act — which prohibits the transportation of individuals across state lines for unlawful purposes. He was, however, acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Meanwhile, reports continue to circulate that former U.S. President Donald Trump is considering a commutation or pardon for Diddy. While the White House Communications Office has denied these claims, TMZ insists its sources maintain that discussions are ongoing.

Prison consultant Sam Mangel, speaking on TMZ Live, said Diddy is expected to be transferred to a lower-security facility soon, which is “less violent” than MDC Brooklyn. Still, he warned that incidents like this highlight the real dangers inmates face behind bars — even celebrities.

For now, concerns over Diddy’s safety remain high among his inner circle, with Finney describing the experience as “terrifying” and a stark reminder of how quickly things can turn inside prison walls.
