Tesla CEO Elon Musk has released a viral video showing the company’s humanoid robot, Optimus, learning martial arts moves from a human trainer.

Posted on Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) account, the 45-second clip shows the second-generation Optimus performing punches, kicks, and defensive maneuvers in perfect sync with an instructor inside Tesla’s Fremont lab. The post has already attracted more than 12 million views, sparking both excitement and skepticism about the future of robotics.

According to Tesla, Optimus uses AI neural networks to interpret live video feeds and mimic human movement with striking precision—no remote control required. The robot maintains balance flawlessly, dodges hits, and counters with near-human speed.

Optimus isn’t just walking; it’s dancing with danger,” Musk wrote, adding a playful emoji that set off over 150,000 replies within hours.

Tesla plans to begin factory deployment by late 2025, assigning the robots to basic tasks such as sorting parts and moving tools. Musk teased on X Spaces that by 2026, consumers could even have their own “personal sparring partner or warehouse wizard.

Production is expected to reach one million units a year, with a target price of $20,000–$30,000—less than a used Model S.

Tech analyst Cathie Wood hailed the demo as “a robotics revolution,” predicting Optimus could boost global GDP by $10 trillion by 2030. Musk, meanwhile, says future home versions might cook, tutor, or even assist with daily chores—all while keeping costs “grounded.”
