According to E! News, the payout was confirmed in a recent court filing dated October 9, 2025, nearly 27 months after Paris filed a petition against the law firms overseeing her father’s assets. The executors of the estate, John Branca and John McClain, authorized the payment following a legal review of the distribution terms.
At the time of Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, the “King of Pop” was reportedly over $500 million in debt. However, through strategic management and lucrative deals—including the $600 million sale of a portion of Jackson’s music catalog to Sony—the estate’s value has since soared to more than $2 billion.
The estate continues to generate revenue through music royalties, publishing rights, and licensing of Jackson’s likeness for films, shows, and merchandise.
As of now, Paris Jackson has not issued any public statement regarding the payment or the outcome of the petition.
