U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that global tensions will not escalate into a third world war, particularly in the Middle East, following the signing of the Gaza peace deal in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Monday, October 13.

Speaking shortly after the historic signing ceremony, Trump assured that the peace accord marks a new era of cooperation and stability for the region.

“There won’t be World War III, hopefully at all but it’s not going to start in the Middle East,” he said.
“We are not going to have a World War III if we are smart.”

The U.S. President emphasized that the agreement aims to balance humanitarian relief with security priorities, ensuring that aid to Gaza benefits civilians and not extremist groups.

“We’ve all agreed that supporting Gaza must be done to lift up the people themselves. We don’t want to fund anything related to bloodshed, hatred, or terror as has happened in the past,” Trump noted.

Reaffirming America’s role in regional reconstruction and peace efforts, Trump said:

“Gaza, as I said earlier, I intend to be a partner in securing a better future. You are going to be working with the United States. We are going to make sure the Middle East is a safe and secure place. It is a very important place in the world.”

Earlier in the day, Trump joined the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey — key mediators of the peace accord — for the official signing ceremony. He described the deal as a “historic moment,” calling for continued cooperation among all parties to ensure lasting peace in the Middle East.
