According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Wolff alleges that Melania “deliberately and maliciously interfered” with his publishing contract and sought to discredit him publicly ahead of the release of his new book, “The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump (Redux).”
Wolff claims that Melania and her team spread false and damaging statements, including accusations that he fabricated interviews, intimidated sources, and “manufactured lies for profit.” He argues that these claims scared off international distributors and led to the collapse of a multi-million-dollar publishing deal.
In his filing, Wolff also asserts that Melania personally directed a public relations firm to threaten media outlets with legal action if they covered or promoted his forthcoming book — describing the move as a “calculated campaign to destroy his reputation and livelihood.”
As evidence, the lawsuit includes a letter from Melania’s attorneys demanding that Wolff retract and apologize for remarks he made to The Daily Beast, where he linked the former First Lady to convicted s3x offender Jeffrey Epstein. Wolff had reportedly claimed that Melania was “very involved” in the Epstein scandal and could serve as a key connection in former President Donald Trump’s alleged ties to the case — accusations her lawyers dismissed as “false and defamatory.”
Wolff is now asking the court to declare that the statements in his book are not defamatory, and to prevent Melania Trump from taking further actions that could interfere with or obstruct the book’s publication.
As of now, Melania Trump’s representatives have not issued any official response to the lawsuit.
