Nigerian activist and social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has once again reignited his feud with crypto entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejika, better known as Blord, accusing him of running another fraudulent operation.

In a new video shared on Instagram on October 16, 2025, VDM alleged that Blord’s fintech company, Billpoint, is involved in a sophisticated online scam. According to him, the app — which promotes discounted airtime and data purchases — is allegedly harvesting sensitive user data such as BVN, NIN, and phone numbers, and using them for fraudulent and money laundering activities.

VDM’s claims add fresh controversy to Blord’s public image. The crypto businessman was arrested in 2024 over allegations of cryptocurrency fraud and terrorism financing, though he was later released. Since then, scrutiny around his activities and brands has persisted.

In his video, VDM also took a swipe at other Nigerian celebrities flaunting wealth online, claiming that many sustain their luxury lifestyles through shady dealings rather than genuine hard work.

He said:

“You see why I speak to most of them however I like? I know what most of them do and how they maintain these appearances. It’s all showbiz. Don’t pressure yourself — most of them didn’t get here through hard work. You’d understand when you have access to information. This is why I always boast with integrity — it frustrates them.”

This latest video has reignited the ongoing public rivalry between VDM and Blord, which first drew attention when Blord unveiled a customized iPhone 17 Pro in Nigeria — a move VDM criticized as showboating.

Social Media Reactions

The video has sparked heated conversations online, with many Nigerians sharing mixed opinions:

@Raremee__: “At this point I think there’s an agreement between them to do a form of hinge radical publicity for themselves. Their traction would have skyrocketed by now. All na publicity fight or no fight.”

@DolapoToyyib: “Omo, many people still mumu. So OPay and PalmPay want your data also for fraud including normal bank? Abi you no go put your number when you want to buy airtime on those apps? Even OPay and PalmPay dey give discount — they call it cashback. Shame on Ratel.”

@LaughNLearnX: “Once VDM has an issue with you, he takes everything personally. Blord should’ve ignored him and saved himself all this unnecessary drama.”

@FranciscoBrainy: “If you’ve been around the so-called celebrities long enough, you’ll know they’re only showing off online, hustling hard to be close to wealthy people and get benefits from them. Some are scamming others and doing all sorts of things to make money. It’s a dog-eat-dog industry. Don’t let what they show off get to you.”
