Comedian I Go Save has criticised Nigerians who are celebrating the cancellation of Burna Boy’s US shows, following the controversy surrounding his encounter with a female fan at one of his concerts.

A few weeks ago, Burna Boy paused his performance and asked a woman to be removed from the venue after noticing she appeared to be sleeping during his set. He took it as disrespect, and the moment quickly went viral, sparking backlash.

In the days that followed, some Nigerians in the US called for his concerts to be boycotted. This week, his Chicago and Minneapolis tour dates were officially cancelled due to poor ticket sales — a development that many online users greeted with excitement.

Reacting via his Instagram Stories, I Go Save condemned those celebrating the cancellations, describing it as “witchcraft” to rejoice over another man losing income.

He emphasised that disagreements or criticism should never translate into wishing financial loss on anyone.
