Former President Goodluck Jonathan visited the Presidential Villa on Saturday, November 29, to brief President Bola Tinubu on the tense political situation in Guinea-Bissau.

Jonathan had been in the country as part of an election monitoring mission when soldiers attempted to seize power, creating panic and sparking widespread concern about his safety. He was evacuated and flown back to Nigeria on Friday, November 28.

Following his return, Jonathan headed straight to Aso Rock, where he updated President Tinubu on the developments in Guinea-Bissau and the outcome of his monitoring assignment.
