Meghan Markle is reportedly stepping back into the spotlight — this time, returning to acting after an eight-year break.

According to Variety, the Duchess of Sussex will make a cameo as herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film Close Personal Friends, alongside Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding.

An insider told The Sun that the role marks a major turning point for Meghan, describing it as “a massive moment” and “a return to doing what she truly loves.”

“She’s been swamped with offers, but this one felt right,” the source shared. “It’s Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set. Everyone involved is super-excited and sworn to secrecy. Prince Harry is, of course, supportive — he just wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy.”

According to People, Meghan has already filmed her scenes:

“She has a small part. She seemed very relaxed and happy. She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth,” the source revealed.

This will be Meghan’s first screen role since leaving Suits in 2017, where she played Rachel Zane across nine seasons before exiting the show following her engagement to Prince Harry.

Since stepping back from royal duties, the couple has settled in Montecito, California, focusing on philanthropy, media ventures, and raising their two children.
