Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has warmed hearts online after new videos captured a tender moment between him and his first son, Prince Tadenikawo.

In the clips, the monarch looked visibly delighted as he spent time with the young prince, who chatted excitedly about his father and even touched some of the Ooni’s sacred ornaments. One viral moment showed the Ooni playfully asking the boy to greet his mother, Olori Naomi Silekunola, but the prince insisted he wanted to stay with his father.

Another scene showed the Ooni holding his traditional staff and praying lovingly for his son. Prince Tadenikawo is the monarch’s first son, born to his third wife, Olori Naomi.

The videos have since sparked conversations about the Ooni’s relationship with his estranged wife, especially following a recent Legit.ng report that the Oyo State government filed a new suit involving Naomi Silekunola and two others over an alleged stampede incident said to have led to the deaths of 35 children.

Despite the ongoing legal matter, many Nigerians focused on the warm father-son bonding, praising the Ooni for being present and affectionate.
