Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has raised an alarm after allegedly apprehending a newly employed worker who stole ₦3 million from her business account just days into the job.
According to the actress, the suspect had only been in her employment for about 14 days before gaining unauthorised access to her phone and bank details. She revealed that the money was transferred from her Zenith Bank account barely seven days after the worker resumed duties.
Sarah expressed shock at how quickly the alleged theft was carried out, noting that the employee did not have long-term or close access to her personal life, which made the breach even more troubling.
The incident has since sparked reactions online, with many social media users expressing concern over the ease with which mobile banking security can be compromised. Some commenters warned business owners and employers to be extra cautious with staff, describing the situation as alarming.
