The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola on Saturday, December 27.

The 43-year-old actress’ passing came barely 24 hours after she shared a video on her Instagram page, where she was seen singing a prayerful song expressing hope of living to see the end of the year.

“In the name of Jesus, I will see the end of this year; this year will not see my end,” she sang in the clip.

The post, which has since drawn emotional reactions from fans and colleagues, is now being described as a haunting final message.

Tributes have continued to pour in across social media, with many expressing shock and sorrow over her untimely death and remembering her for her contributions to Nollywood.
