There are birthdays, and then, there are moments that transcend celebration and enter the realm of legacy. The radiant Dr. Norah Penawou, a woman of exceptional poise, intellect, and quiet power, recently marked her 50th birthday in a series of events that could only be described as regal.
It began with an intimate house party, followed by a grand, sun-drenched celebration in picturesque Montenegro. But Norah, in her signature gracious style, didn’t stop there. In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, she hosted a spectacular appreciation soirée in honour of the more than 150 friends and loved ones who travelled across borders to celebrate with her.
A former Miss Delta Soap and the face of over 50 household brands during her illustrious modelling years in Nigeria, Norah is no stranger to the spotlight. Today, she is a dazzling symbol of grace and achievement, a PhD holder, an IT expert, a businesswoman of substance, and a loving mother to three remarkable children. With her princess-like beauty, a mind sharpened by years of excellence, and a heart anchored in generosity, Norah truly embodies what it means to have it all, and give back even more.
Guests at the appreciation event were treated to an opulent evening filled with fine dining, flowing champagne, and joyful reunions. Yet it wasn’t the lavish setting that stole the night, it was Norah’s magnetic presence. Elegant, warm, and ever attentive, she glided from table to table, personally thanking each guest with the grace of a queen and the sincerity of a friend.
Since she moved to the UK, Norah has continued to shine, not just through her professional milestones or stunning lifestyle, but in the quiet power of her humility and the generosity of her spirit. Her commitment to friendships, her devotion to family, and her heart for charitable causes make her celebration not just a birthday, but a beautiful reminder of a life well-lived and still unfolding.
At 50, she’s not just aging, she’s ascending.

ReplyDeleteOut path crossed at OAU, Part 1 precisely, right there at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
ReplyDeleteBeing a shy person, I try to dodge her always but she'll call out to me to stop me and say hello. Some of the times, she'll leave her friends and then tease to follow me to anywhere I am going. She is so down to earth yet very attractive to all eyes. I'll rather stay unnoticed (lol)
Fast forward to after OAU, say about 7 years later, I was walking on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi. A car stopped, and then the window rolled down - 'I think I know you', Norah said. I started smiling. She hasn't changed a bit. Still the same down to earth, nice, and kind person I met at school.
I 'm sure I've never told her her person blew me away when we were at OAU, still did when she stopped her driver on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi that year, and yeah!, she's still doing that. Only good persons will have so much people celebrate them.
I pray you grow from grace to grace, and strength to strength. May God answer your secret prayers and continually answer you by fire every time you call out to Him - Amen
...Cheers to another 50 years, Norah.
Continue to age with grace
Rose Peter's you're an accomplished journalist. I met you at the Old Baileys during the trial of Hon. Ike Ekweremadu and you covered the event objectively.
ReplyDeleteSeeing you here made me super glad.
Well done.
